As supporters of the German Shepherd Rescue of East Tennessee, we want to let you know about their cause.
The German Shepherd Rescue of East Tennessee is committed to helping save German Shepherds in the East TN area. They do not have a shelter. Instead, all of their dogs are housed in foster homes. Each foster dog is spayed/neutered, brought up to date on all necessary vaccines, dewormed, tested for heartworms (treated if necessary) and microchipped before adoption.
They also work on housebreaking and crate training each dog, while they are in their care. They do not always require a fenced yard for adoptions and they will adopt to a home with young children depending on the dog and the families experience with the breed. The only absolute requirement they have is that all of their dogs must be inside dogs and are not to be left outside when no one is home. They do try to look at each potential adoptive family on a case by case basis and match the right dog to the right family.
The German Shepherd Rescue of East Tennessee is based out of Knoxville, TN and is committed to helping save German Shepherds in East TN.
We urge you to support the GSR of East Tennessee in any way that you can.
